The Zin – Central California’s Paddling & Wine Tasting Tour

Join us for an amazing fun filled day-trip of a morning kayaking or stand up paddleboarding with your dog in some of central California’s most beautiful scenery, followed by wine tastings of fantastic award-winning locally made wines at 2 of  Lodi’s best and most dog friendly wineries. Whether you are with a group or just traveling with your canine best friend, you will really enjoy this amazing adventure through the 110,000 acres of vineyards that make up the Lodi American Viticultural Area (AVA)!

Our first stop is Lodi Lake where you and your pup will be able to enjoy a morning of kayaking or stand up paddle boarding – your choice. We’ll start off in the lake and you’ll be able to explore with your new friends and even take a paddle up the calm, meandering Mokelumne River through some of Lodi’s most beautiful vineyards and private riverside estates. Have a snack on one of the dozens of small sandbars and islands while enjoying spectacular views of the Lodi Lake Wilderness Area and the nearby (and often snow covered) Sierra Nevada mountains to the east. No experience paddling with your dog? No problem. We have years of experience teaching the fine art of canine aquatic adventuring.

After a delicious picnic lunch on the lake (included), we’ll head to two of Lodi’s best, most dog friendly wineries where you’ll enjoy private wine tastings (included) along with information about the winemaking process and the rich history of Lodi, Wine Enthusiast’s 2015 International “Wine Region of the Year”, and the Zinfandel capitol of the world. 

Approximately 80% of the grapes bottled in Napa & Sonoma come from Lodi and Lodi has some of the oldest vines in the world. Enjoy our amazing Old Vine Zinfandels (over 50 years old) and our Ancient Vine Zinfandels (vines over 100 years old), as well as amazing Barberas, Cabernets,, Merlot and other Bold Red wines and some amazing whites and dessert wines as well.

NO DOG? You are not required to bring a dog in order to participate. All dog lovers are welcome. We understand that you may just want to hang out with our fantastic four-legged friends. We may even be able to provide you a “Dog for the Day” if you desire.
